Greater Ottumwa Park will turn 340 acres of brilliant colors as we enter the fall season. With playgrounds, shelters, and scenic views along the water, the park is the perfect autumn getaway. Throw on a sweater and hike the trails and practice your photography skills.

Memorial Park is a fantastic spot to enjoy fall colors. The historic park is home to a diverse array of trees that offer a vibrant tapestry of reds, oranges, and yellows. With picturesque views and peaceful atmosphere, this park provides a great way to immerse yourself in the foliage.

The 302 acres of the Garrison Rock Resource Management Unit offer a scenic hike beneath a vibrant canopy of reds, yellows, and oranges. Whether you're an avid hiker or simply seeking a peaceful retreat in nature, Garrison Rock provides a breathtaking backdrop for your outdoor fall experience.

With nearly 1,000 acres to explore, Pioneer Ridge Nature Area is the perfect destination to experience autumn's vibrant colors. Hike the trails, fish in the ponds, or simply take in the stunning views from the nature center.

Other Great Spots

The American Gothic House in Eldon is a must-visit all year, but it’s particularly enchanting in the fall. During this season, the trees behind the iconic house transform into vivid shades of red and orange, making your parody photo truly stand out.
